This website is owned and operated by Neu Notion. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) applies to information that we collect through the Neu Notion Website (the “Site”, which consists of all content and pages located within the https://neunotion.com/ web domain), information provided during telephone communications, information we collect from websites, and information we collect from our referral partners. This Policy does not apply to information that you may provide to us in other ways (for example, through conventional mail).

For purposes of this Policy, “Personal Data” means your personal data and any third party’s personal data, such as the personal data of your parents.

Information we collect automatically

We may log the IP address, operating system, and browser software used by each user of the Site, and we may be able to determine from an IP address a user’s Internet Service Provider and the geographic location of his or her point of connectivity. Various web analytics tools are used to collect this information. Some of the information is collected through cookies. If you reject our cookies, many functions and conveniences of this Site may not work properly. Although user sessions are tracked, a user remains anonymous.

Information you give us

When you contact us, request a consultation or send us a project inquiry through a form on the Site, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, company and message. We use it to respond to you, provide the services you request, and follow up about your inquiry.

Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Free tools

Our free tools at https://neunotion.com/tools/ run in your web browser. What you type into them is processed on your device and is not sent to us, except as described below.

  • Usage counts. The tools send us anonymous totals, such as how many times a password was generated or a result was copied. These counts never include the passwords, passphrases, records, text or other content you create or enter.
  • Domains checked. When you use the SPF, DKIM & DMARC Checker, we record the domain name you check and the results of that check (for example, whether its SPF, DKIM and DMARC records pass). We use this to improve our services and may contact the domain’s owner about email delivery. If you enter an email address, only the domain part (after the @) is used; we do not store email addresses entered in our tools.
  • Abuse prevention. To prevent automated abuse, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to one hour to limit how many requests can be made. It is not stored with usage counts or domain records and is then deleted.
  • Settings saved in your browser. The Password Generator saves your chosen settings in your browser’s local storage so they are remembered on your next visit. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
  • Third-party services used by the tools. Some tools request information directly from your browser to third-party services, which receive your IP address as part of that request and handle it under their own privacy policies:
    • The Password Strength Checker loads its strength-estimation library from jsDelivr, and checks passwords against the Have I Been Pwned breach database. For the breach check, your password is converted into a code (a hash) on your device and only the first 5 characters of that code are sent. Neither we nor Have I Been Pwned can see your password.
    • The SPF, DKIM & DMARC Checker looks up public DNS records through Google Public DNS and Cloudflare DNS.
    • The SERP & Social Preview loads any image or icon address you enter, from the site that hosts it.

How we protect your Personal Data

As a responsible private organization, Neu Notion is committed to maintaining a high standard of confidentiality with respect to Personal Data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the United Arab Emirates’ Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
